摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the quality, the precision, the reliability, etc. by setting a coordinate system on the picture of a measuring instrument at a measuring camera which is arranged to face the dial plate of the measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION:The coordinate system is set on the picture of an eddy current type measuring instrument 1 at the measuring camera 2 which is arranged to face the dial plate 16 of the measuring instrument 1. Coordinate components of a specific picture element, which corresponds to one specific point at least on an indicator position corresponding to a specific indicated value of the measuring instrument 1, out of plural picture elements constituting the picture of the measuring instrument are determined preliminarily. Thereafter, such specific input is given to the measuring instrument that it indicates the specific indicated value, and the measuring instrument 1 is set to the driving state, and an AC magnetic field by which the extent of magnetization of a rotating magnet 11 of the measuring instrument 1 is reduced gradually is allowed to act upon the rotating magnet 11 to start the adjusting demagnetization. The specific picture element is selected, and its lightness data is sampled at a proper timing. When this data reaches the lightness level of the picture element corresponding to the indicator 15 of the measuring instrument 1 at the camera 2, it is judged that the indicator 15 comes to the position corresponding to the specific indicated value, and the adjustment of demagnetization is terminated.
