PURPOSE:To improve the aerodynamic performance by bringing the center of rotation of rotary shaft for varying the angle of nozzle blade near to the trailing edge of nozzle blade. CONSTITUTION:Nozzle flanges 13, 15 are positioned through a strut 17 to journale a pivot shaft 12 concentrical with the rotary shaft 2 for varying the angle of nozzle blade 1 to the nozzle flange 15. The rotary shaft 2 and pivot shaft 12 are provided as near as possible to the trailing edge of nozzle blade 1. Consequently, radial movement of trailing edge of nozzle blade 1 under rotation of nozzle blade 1 is reduced resulting in improvement of aerodynamic performance of variable nozzle. |
