PURPOSE:To return a required reply message to the other party for the communication even when an operator is not present by registering a sound or a picture image as the reply message in a reply message memory section. CONSTITUTION:An operator of a terminal equipment, when there is the other party of the communication desired to return a replay message on receiving a calling, previously registers a discriminating number of the other party of the communication in a reply message memory section 13 through an input and output equipment control section 11, after pressing down a call receiving responding number registering switch. Then, whether the reply message to the other party of the communication is fed by a sound or a picture image is selected by a change over switch. On receiving the call, if the call is automatically received and responded, the input and output equipment control section 11, based on the discriminating number of the terminal equipment of the other party of the communication inputted from a connecting section 10 of an exchange, reads the relevant reply message from the memory section 13 and feeds out the reply message to the terminal equipment of the other party of the communication through the connecting section 10 of the exchange.
