Rubbish bins and rubbish containers which are divided up into vertical chambers and are intended for separate collection of waste. Partial covering of the filling apertures on collection vehicles, which covering covers those chambers whose waste is not currently being collected. Application area: To provide existing and new waste containers with one or more vertical partitions, so that the waste can be processed separately. Separation is based on the quantities of the individual waste components, eg. 1/2, 1/4 and 1/4. To provide existing and new collection vehicles with filling apertures, which filling apertures in each case cover those chambers of the waste container whose waste is not being collected. In the second and subsequent collections, the covering of the filling aperture is in each case changed in such a way that a further chamber can be emptied. The collection vehicle is unloaded at the respective collection points.
