The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a sleeve-shaped connecting element for a bolt-shaped part with a thread. The essence of the invention consists in that a blank of sheet metal is punched out for the sleeve-shaped connecting element, that thread sections or thread lengths are pressed in, that the blank is bent so that associated lateral edges of the blank come to rest against one another, and that the lateral edges are then fixed to one another. <IMAGE>
