The invention relates to novel 1,3,2-oxathiaphospholane 2-sulphides of the general formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R represents the amino group or optionally substituted radicals from the series consisting of alkyl, alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkoxy, alkenyloxy and alkylthio, and R<1> to R<4> are identical or different and represent hydrogen or optionally halogen-substituted radicals from the series consisting of alkyl, alkoxyalkyl and alkylthioalkyl, or two of the radicals R<1> to R<4> together with the carbon atom(s) to which they are bonded also form an optionally substituted mono- or bicyclic ring with the proviso that in each case at least two of the radicals R<1> to R<4> which are bonded to a joint carbon atom (that is to say R<1> and R<2>, and R<3> and R<4>, respectively,) do not simultaneously represent hydrogen, which can be used as pesticides.o
