PURPOSE:To improve power transmitting efficiency and to maintain a motor and a magnetic coupling type rotary machine integrated with the motor in vacuum by disposing the motor and the machine in a vacuum tank, and directly coupling them with a driven unit. CONSTITUTION:A drive device has an integral structure of a motor M and a magnetic coupling type rotary machine D to enable to dispose them near a driven unit disposed arbitrarily in a vacuum tank. Thus, the drive unit can be directly driven. In other words, when a current is supplied to the stator 8 of the motor M, a rotational shaft 1 rotates by the generation of a magnetic field. A case 16 is rotated by a magnetic force between an inside magnet 5 and a magnetic unit 15 provided on the shaft 1 by the rotation of the shaft 1. As a result, the unit can be drive through a gear 20.
