PURPOSE:A metal alkoxide and a tackifier are dissolved in a solvent containing a small amount of acid or alkali and the resultant dope is made into a desired form to produce the titled formed product readily in low costs. CONSTITUTION:A metal alkoxide such as ethyl silicate and a tackifier such as cellulose acetate at a weight ratio of 1.0 the alkoxide to (1.0-10.0) the tackifier are dissolved in a solvent such as acetone, containing 1X10<-3>-1.0mol/l acid or alkali that can disperse in the solution by heating to give a dope. Then, the resultant dope is made into a desired form such as fiber, dried and calcined. |
