PURPOSE:To suppress the power consumption, and to reduce a variation of an input voltage to a load by inserting a transistor between a DC power source part and the load, and connecting a secondary battery to its base. CONSTITUTION:A regulated power unit is formed between a DC power source part 5 consisting of a step-down transformer 2 connected a primary winding to a commercial power source 1, a full-wave rectifier 3 for rectifying its secondary winding output, and a smoothing capacitor 4, and a load 6 connected to said part through a transistor (TR) 7. In this case, a secondary battery 8 is connected between the base of the TR 7 and a negative electrode output end, and also a base resistance 9 and an opening/closing switch 10 are connected between the base and the collector of the TR 7, and between the base and the emitter, respectively. In this way, when driving the load by the commercial power source 1, the switch 10 is opened and a base current which is made to pass through the base resistance 9, and a charging current to the battery 8 are made to flow, and the load 6 is conducted electrically through the TR 7. Also, when driving the load 6 by the battery 8, the electric conduction is executed by short-circuiting the switch 10.
