PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown of a quaywall, by a method wherein a recess part, which serves to turn a water flow, produced by the propeller device of a ship, into a horizontal water flow, is formed in the side wall, under the surface of the water, of a quaywall. CONSTITUTION:A water flow 6, generated by a side thruster 3, is collided with a recess part 7 in a quaywall 1 to branch it into an up flow and a down flow. Such flows run along the recess part 7, and the down stream is prevented from running toward the bottom of the sea. This, since the water flow is prevented from running down to the bottom of the sea 5, enables to prevent the quaywall 1 from being scooped. |
