PURPOSE:To reduce space and cost and to simplify controlling with a single power source, by constituting a system in which at least two printing heads that face each other by rotation of a cam are able to move forward and backward in the direction of a platen. CONSTITUTION:A cam 13a which has grooves 14c and 14d on both sides is provided between levers 7c and 7d, and the grooves 14c and 14d have points (a)-(c) through connection of flutes of a smaller radius and a larger radius, and the phases on obverse and reverse are formed to be bilateral symmetry. If a motor M3 is turned and the cam 13a is rotated in the direction indicated by an arrow D, cam pins 15c and 15d slide the grooves 14c and 14d and respectively move to points (a) and (c), and, at this time, the cam pin 15c is displaced as much distance as L and lifted to advance a thermal head 1c. Since the displacement value of a thermal head 1d is zero, the head remains in an evacuation position. If the cam 13a is turned reversely in an arrow E direction, the thermal head 1d is advanced and the thermal head 1c remains in the evacuation position. In order to restore the original position, the cam 13a is respectively turned in its reversed direction. |
