The drive arrangment includes a clutch (36) which enables the compressor (14) to be selectively belt-driven either from an internal combustion engine (10) or from an electric motor (12). The clutch comprises a first drive pulley supported from the compressor housing and connected to be belt-driven from the engine, a second drive pulley rigidly mounted on the compressor shaft and connected to be belt-driven from the electric motor, and means for locking the two pulleys together when the engine accelerates above a given speed. |
