A method of degreasing a cold rolled band wherein the degreasing and the heating of the band are carried out simultaneously, through a chemical effect of the fumes at a high temperature on the oil layer present on the band, characterized in that the heating and degreasing actions are separated, the heating being carried out in an enclosure provided with radiant heating means, and the degreasing being obtained through a chemical effect, in the heating enclosure, of a gas resulting from a sub-stoichiometric combustion. |
