PURPOSE:To form a 2X2 type light switch device with a high quenching ratio and with a small quantity of the crosstalk by linking mutually the first-fourth light switches so that a signal light and a crosstalk light can pass through another channel. CONSTITUTION:The first and second light switches 42 and 44 for the input and the third and fourth light switches 46 and 48 for the output are provided. These respective light switches 42-48 are mutually linked so that the signal light and the crosstalk light can pass through another channel. In such a case, a switch device 40 is constructed to link respective light switches 42-48 by connecting channels 66, 68, 70 and 72. By such a linking, a pair of the first and third light switches 42 and 46 is at the same side to the central line, and a pair of the second and fourth light switches 44 and 48 are at the opposite side to the former pair for the central line.
