NEW MATERIAL:The adduct of 1-hydroxyethylphosphinic acid aluminum salt and the amine of formula I (R1-R3 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy-lower alkyl, lower alkylthio-lower alkyl, or cycloalkyl). USE:A plant-blight controlling agent. PREPARATION:The amine of formula I (e.g. t-butylamine) is made to react with 1-hydroxyethylphosphinic acid aluminum salt of formula II in the presence of water usually at 0-60 deg.C for 1-12hr. The amount of the amine is usually 0.5-2.0 equivalent based on the aluminum salt.
