PURPOSE:A glass bead production device for eliminating dimensional error, preventing improper introduction of glass beads between a cutting blade and a pulley, keeping cutting function, consisting of a glass rod conveyer, a belt-like cutting blade, and a transporting means for a pulley to rotate the cutting blade. CONSTITUTION:The glass rod 38 is sent by the conveyer 39, and the glass rod 38 is cut by the belt-like cutting blade 3 which is set in a rectangular direction to the glass rod, hung on and rotated round a pair of the left and light pulleys 2a and 2b. Then, in order to apply tension to the cutting blade 3 during operation, one of the pulley 2a of the pulleys 2a and 2b is always transferred in the outside direction by the pulley transferring means (e.g., jack) 16, and force is applied to the pulley 2a by the pulley forcing means of the spring 9 in such a way that the pulley 2 is transferred backward in buffer way against the transferring force. Then, when the cutting blade 3 is worn away, the cutting blade 3 is pushed up to the glass rod side 38 by the handle 35 an the lifting means of the pushing device 33 to cut the rod. |
