PURPOSE:To make an optical printer head operate printing with narrow letter width and high quality by a method wherein a metal plate is held between, or stuck to and held between insulators which have wiring parts and light emission diode arrays are mounted and fixed on the side of the metal plate and driving elements are mounted on the surface of the insulators. CONSTITUTION:Insulators 1 and 1, which have wiring parts 2, 2... on their surfaces (a) and (b),s and a metal plate 3 which is stuck to and held between the insulators 1 and 1 are unified to compose a substrate 4 of an optical printer head. Light emission diode arrays 5, 5..., fixed on the exposed side (c) of the metal plate 3, are connected to the wiring parts 2, 2... provided on the sides (b) of the insulators 1 and 1 by fine bonding wires 6, 6... and the like. Driving elements 7, 7... for the mounted and fixed light emission diode arrays 5, 5... are provided on the surfaces (a) of the insulators 1 and 1. As the electrodes with ohmic contacts are provided alternately to the left and right sides of the net arrangement of the light emission regions, the density of the wirings is a half of the density of the light emission regions. |
