<p>This invention relates to a thermosetting plastisol dispersion composition comprising (1) at least one maleic anhydride copolymer in powder form, which is insoluble in the reactive plasticizer at room temperature and plasticizable at a temperature at or above the fluxing temperature; (2) a liquid reactive plasticizer member capable of solvating the maleic anhydride copolymer at the fluxing temperature of the group consisting of (a) at least one epoxide resin having an average of more than one epoxide group; (b) at least one hydroxy terminated resin having an average of more than one hydroxy group; (c) at least one amine terminated resin having an average of more than one amine terminated group; (d) at least one isocyanate terminated resin having an average of more than one isocyanate group; (e) at least one cyanate terminated resin having an average of more than one cyanate group; (f) a mixture of reactive plasticizers (a) to (e); and (3) optionally, an effective amount of a curing agent for plasticizers present in the composition. The plastisol dispersion after fluxing can form a thermoset sealant, coating or adhesive after the crosslinking reaction.</p> |
