<p>The sealing head is rotated and moved downwards towards a closure with a skirt 7 fitted over a neck of a receptacle. A central part 6 and a peripheral part 3 come into contact with the closure and an edge 8 of the receptacle, respectively, and are therefore stopped while the body 1 of the head continues to rotate and descend. A mounting member 9 which is axially fixed, but rotatable, relative to the parts 6 and 3 carries levers, the upper ends 4 of which are rounded and turned by an actuating member 2 rigid with the body 1, thereby bringing pressing elements in the form of rollers 5 into engagement with the skirt 7 in order to seal the closure. <IMAGE></p> |
