PURPOSE:To rationalize transportation and storage and improve a measure to prevent disasters by transporting coal together with water from a ship to a coal pond, which is provided with a water permiable screen, on a quay, taking out said coal after draining water, and deliverying said coal after dehydrating. CONSTITUTION:Water is sent to a ship 1 through a shift pond 21, piping 22, and sea-bottom piping 6a, and coal is introduced, together with this water, into a coal pond 5 through a sea bottom piping 6 and land-surface piping 7, in a state of slurry, and stored in a condition soaked in water. Then, water in the pond 5 is drawn up through a water permeable screen and a water permeable sink, which are not shown in the figure, and drained. Then, the coal is taken out by means of an unloader and, after being dehydrated by a dehydrating device, distributed to each consumer. Thus, by transporting and storing coal by utilizing water, the storage and transportation can be radionalized, solving the problems of dust and preventing disaster. |
