PURPOSE:To simplify a rolling mill and to ease the handling thereof by disposing roll benders to roll pairs having no shift mechanism pair in the axial direction of the rolls of the rolling mill interposed with intermediate rolls between the work rolls and backup rolls. CONSTITUTION:The rolling mill is constituted of the work roll pairs 21, 22 and backup roll pairs 23, 24 and is interposed with the intermediate roll paris 26, 26 in some cases. The axial shift mechanisms (arrows) are provided to either of the roll pairs and the roll benders 27, 28 are disposed to the roll pairs having no roll shift mechanisms. The mechanisms for the band straightening in the progressing direction of the rolling material and making uniform the sheet thickness are simplified by such separated sharing, by which the handling and repairing are made easy are the accuracy of the shape control is improved. |
