PURPOSE:To produce an endo-type alkaline cellulase exclusively, by carrying out the genetic cloning of the alkaline cellulase-producing gene site of an alkaline cellulase-producing strain belonging to Streptomyces genus. CONSTITUTION:An endo-type alkaline cellulase-producing chromosome DNA of an alkaline cellulase-producing strain belonging to Streptomyces genus is introduced into a vector to obtain a recombinant vector (e.g. plasmid pCAS1). A bacterial strain capable of producing endo-type alkaline cellulase, belonging to Streptomyces genus and transformed by the above recombinant vector [e.g. Streptomyces lividans HH21 No. 1 (pCAS1), FERM P-8276] is cultured and the objective endo-type alkaline cellulase is separated and recovered from the culture medium. USE:Remarkable cleaning effect can be attained when compounded to a detergent for clothes. |
