PURPOSE:To increase the welding operability and to obtain sufficient welding strength as well by welding the butt part from the front and back both faces after fitting to the inner face of the claw side of the joint part the backing with trapezoidal cross section and the backing with flexible tip. CONSTITUTION:A groove 13 is formed extending over the whole butt part after performing the cut-fitting of the butt tip part of sheet pile P1, P2. The first back 15 and second back 16 are then press-fitted to the inner pocket 14 of the joint part 10 of the sheet pile. The second back 16 is made to reduce gradually its thickness as heading for the tip and the tip part 16a is bent along the inner face shape of the inner pocket 14 of the joint part. Thereafter the main welding is performed over the whole face after performing a tack welding of the flange part 11 of the sheet pile and web part 12 and the outer surface. The welding zone having excellent strength can thus be obtd. and the operability can be increased as well.
