THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBON

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer ribbon which is free of adhesion of a coloring material layer to the back side of the ribbon even when being preserved in the rolled state and endures preservation for a long time, by providing a low energy surface layer on the back side of the ribbon. CONSTITUTION:The low energy surface layer is provided on the back side of a thermal transfer ribbon in which a coloring material layer comprising a sublimable dye is provided on the base. The low energy means that the surface of the coated layer has a low surface free energy, has a low critical surface tension and has a property for preventing adhesion of the coloring material layer.
