PURPOSE:To previously prevent an errored reception of a transmitted data by the opposite unit from occurring by exchanging a testing data between the two units connected respectively with each port of a two-port memory and by deciding whether or not the content of the said data is normal. CONSTITUTION:The two-port RAM1 is connected with the data buses 4 and 5 of two computers 2 and 3. to the buses 4 and 5, control status registers 5 and 7 are connected, and the control information at the time of inspecting the read/write function is exchanged between the computers 2 and 3 using these CSRs 6 and 7. The read/write function when accessed from the I/O port on a first unit-side is inspected by the reading and writing of the inspection data by the first unit. Then, the inspection data written in the two-port memory is read out from a second unit, and whether or not it is normal is inspected. If it is normal, the testing data is written from the second unit, and the first unit decides whether it is normal or not.
