INFORMATION RECORDING METHOD FOR POSTSCRIPT TYPE INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To use effectively a record area regardless of the size of an information file by starting the recording of information on both the information file and retrieval areas at the side edges corresponding to each other of the record area of a postscript type information recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The recording of an information file part 5 is started at a position C in a record area 2 at a counter side edge of a card-shaped postscript type information recording medium 1. While the recording of an information retrieval part 6 is started at a position A in the area 2 at the other side edge of the medium 1. The recording is carried out toward the inside from the area 2 of the medium 1. In this case, the additional recording is carried out on the unrecorded part of the area 2 after reading once the area 2. While the additional recordable margin of the area 2 is obtained through the part 6, and a recording medium is used as long as the additional recording file part 5 and the part 6 can be stored within said recordable margin of the area 2. Here the waste of the area 2 can be reduced by performing properly the additional recording since the area 6 is not fixed.
