<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate an operation for treating a jam by dividing an image forming device to an upper body part and lower body part, providing a fixing means to the end of the lower body part and providing a fulcrum for rotation near said means so that the upper body part can be fully opened or closed. CONSTITUTION:The device body is divided to the upper part and the lower part. A paper feed cassette 2, a paper feed roller 3, resist rollers 4a, 4b, a transfer charger 5, a conveying guide 6, a fixing device 7, a lower rolling-over guide 19 and a laser beam scanner 15, etc. are provided to the lower body part thereof. An attachable and detachable process cartridge 10, a cover 9, a paper discharge tray 9a, a paper discharge roller 8, an upper rolling-over guide 20, etc. are provided to the upper body part. A hinge 18 is provided near the fixing device 7 so that the upper body part can be fully opened and closed. Since the upper body part can be fully opened, the treatment of the jam and maintenance are made easy.</p> |
