<p>PURPOSE:To load a process cartridge and transfer material from the same direction by dividing a device body to an upper part and lower part so that the body can be opened and closed and providing the process cartridge to the upper part and a means for loading the transfer material to the lower part on the side opposite from the revolving shaft thereof. CONSTITUTION:A paper feed cassette 1, a paper feed roller 3, a resist roller 4, a fixing device 6, a laser beam scanner 14, etc. are provided to the lower part of the body. the process cartridge 9, a paper discharge tray 8, etc. are provided to the upper part of the body. A photosensitive body 12, a developing device 11, a cleaning device 13, etc. are contained in the cartridge 9. A hinge 18 is provided near the fixing device 6 so that the upper part of the body is made openable and closable. The cartridge 9 is made attachable and detachable in an arrow D direction and the cassette 1 is loaded in an arrow C direction. Since the cartridge and the paper feed cassette are loaded in the same direction, the handling of consumable parts and the operation are facilitated.</p> |
