PURPOSE:To enhance antistaticness by incorporating a copolymer of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a cationic functional group and another thylenically unsaturated monomer in a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The copolymerizable monomer (A) having a cationic functional group and a cross-linkable monomer (B) having at least 2 copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated groups are copolymerized to obtained a cationic cross- linkable polymer (C). For example, N-methacrylamido-propyl-N,N,N-trimethyl ammonium p-toluensulfonate (A), and divinylbenzene (B) are copolymerized to obtain N-methacrylamidopropyl-N,N,N-trimethyl ammonium p-toluenesulfonate/divinylbenzene copolymer (C), thus permitting antistaticness to be enhanced by the presence of the obtained cationic cross-linkable polymer in the silver halide emulsion layer. |
