COMMINUTED MEAT AND/OR FISH PRODUCT

A comminuted meat and/or fish product in particular a sausage containing conventional ingredients and from 0.5 to 15% by weight of single cell protein (SCP). Preferred SCP is of bacterial origin for example SCP derived from strains of Methylophilus methylotrophus. When included as a functional enhancer the SCP is present in an amount from 0.5 to 2% by weight. When included as a nutritious component it is present in an amount from 2 to 15% by weight.
