PURPOSE:To improve printing speed without clearing the contents of a disk for temporarily storing data prior to printing by clearing the contents of an input buffer without transferring the data to the input buffer when a request segment at the generation of a discrepancy is the initial access. CONSTITUTION:If the succeeding segment No. is the initial access when a discrepancy is generated in the output of a comparator after clearing the contents of the input buffer by the capacity of the segment prior to printing, the data input terminal of the input buffer is forcedly turned to '0' by the operation of a CPU. Then, a command to be applied to the input buffer at the storage of the contents of the input buffer in a hard disk for picture memory is executed in a READ MODIFY WRITE cycle. When the request segment at the generation of a discrepancy is the initial access, the contents of the input buffer are cleared without transferring the data in the segment requested from the picture memory hard disk to the input buffer. |
