PURPOSE:To prevent the titled machine from the accumulation of errors to be generated when the scanning of an original is executed together with the backlash of a gear train or the movement of an image forming means by switching a single driving source, by arranging a control means for returning the image forming means to a reference position in accordance with the number of times of switching of a switching means. CONSTITUTION:The reference position of the image forming means 16 consisting of a lens 17 and the 4th mirror 18 is set up to an equal magnification copying position. When a magnification setting button is depressed under said status to specify the magnification, a CPU is driven by the signal, current is supplied to a solenoid 27, a switching gear 23 is engaged with a gear 28 in a magnification setting system, and after driving a driving source 21 and moving the image forming means 16 up to a position corresponding to the specified magnification, the driving source 21 is stopped and the solenoid is simultaneously turned off. The control means 31 outputs a working signal for returning the means 16 to the reference position to the driving source 21, and when the return of the means 16 to the reference position is detected by a reference position detecting sensor 20 and the detecting signal is received by the control means 31, the driving source 21 is stopped. |
