PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having excellent durability, resistance to heat and weather, etc. and suitable for use as a material for automobile parts, etc., by blending a co-precipitate of a basic lead salt and silica gel, an org. peroxide and a quinoline compd. with a chlorinated polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. chlorinated polyethylene (A), 1-15pts.wt. co-precipitate (B) of a basic salt (e.g. basic lead silicate) and silica gel, 0.1-20pts.wt. org. peroxide (C) (e.g. benzoyl peroxide) and 0.05-5pts.wt. quinoline compd. (D) are mixed together to obtain the desired chlorinated polyethylene compsn. By using components B and D together, the consumption of a free radical formed by the decomposition of component C is small. Accordingly, the use of relatively large quantities of components B and D has a less effected on the degree of crosslinking, and a compsn. having excellent heat resistance can be obtd. |
