PURPOSE:To cut cost by installing a gate mechanism for opening and closing a water taking-in port at a water taking-in port part formed onto the bottom part of a water pool. CONSTITUTION:One edge of a water taking-in pipe 4 is formed into a water taking-in port part 6 on the bottom 2 of a water pool. A gate block 14 is closely attached from the above onto the side surface of the water taking-in port part 6, and closes a plurality of opened ports 8. A piston rod 12 is vertically moved by operating a hydraulic cylinder 10, and the gate block 14 is shifted from the closing position to the opening position. Therefore, the water taking-in gate can be opened and closed. Since the gate block 14 is at the depth position of the bottom of the water pool, the dimension of the tower part for suspending the gate clock can be reduced.
