PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device having the durability for a high-temp. corrosive gas and the heating by providing a dust trap made of the porous ceramic to the outlet of a dust-contaminated gas of an inertia type dust collector being a louver type. CONSTITUTION:When gas contg. the fine carbon not yet burned is introduced through an inlet 3, it is passed through a louver 1 and reaches the outlet 4 of purified gas. But one part of the gas and the greater parts of carbon reach a dust trap 6 via the outlet 5 of the dust-contaminated gas as it is. Therein the gas is passed through the dust trap 6 made of the porous ceramic and advanced to the outlet 4. Carbon is burned in an electrical conduction heater provided on the inside surface of the trap and converted into gas such as CO2. Still more a harmful gas such as nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide can be decreased by disposing an oxidizing or reducing catalyst in the dust trap 6.
