PURPOSE:A sash excellent in heat resistance, mechanical strength, dimensional stability, weathering resistance and moldability, prepared by molding a copolymer having structural units derived from vinyl chloride and structural units derived from a specified N-substituted maleimide. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer is contained by suspension-polymerizing 50-99wt% vinyl chloride, 1-50wt% N-substituted maleimide of the formula [wherein R is 1-30C (un)substituted aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic group and R' and R'' are each H, F, Cl, Br, cyano or a 3C or lower alkyl] and 0-30wt% other polymerizable monomers (e.g., vinyl acetate) in the presence of a free radical generating catalyst in an aqueous medium containing a suspension stabilizer. To this copolymer a stabilier, a lubricant, a processing aid, a filler, a pigment, etc., are added, and the mixture is melt-kneaded and molded into a sash.
