PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption in a dosimeter circuit by detecting the presence of radiation as the change of noise level and making a power source for a circuit of large power consumption off when there is no radiation. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a semiconductor radiation detector 11a is amplified by the first amplifier 12a. The amplified signal is inputted to a noise level detector 15. When the detected noise level is above initial set level, a switch is made on to supply power source to the circuit of later stage. Thus, the life of a battery can be prolonged by making current of an amplifier circuit 12b, a band filter circuit 12c, a comparator circuit 12d etc. having the largest consumption of power on/off by the signals of the noise level detector 15 and making power supply efficiently.
