PURPOSE:To attain optimum equivalent locking by providing a step recovering two impulses from a received training signal, extracting identification informa tion of the training signal from the time difference of the two impulses and applying training with the training signal. CONSTITUTION:In receiving a transmission request signal RS, the transmitter MD1 of an MODEM uses a training data generating section TRG to generate a training data and applies it to a modulation section MOD. A receiver MD2 sets the initial state for the data reception based on the received training signal. Further, the transmitter MD1 generates a transmission permission signal CS while expecting the end of setting of the initial state and sends the modulated signal by a sending data SD to a receiver MD2. The receiver MD2 extracts a signal corresponding to a single pulse (impulse) signal among the training data demodulated by a demodulation section DEM receiving a signal sent from the transmitter MD1. |
