PURPOSE:To remove complexity for once substituting a fraction for a decimal number and to improve the operability for the calculation of magnification providing a copying machine with a fraction key for inputting a fraction as it is, a means for displaying a fractional code on a display part at the depression of the fraction key and a means for converting the inputted fractional number into a decimal number. CONSTITUTION:A division key 73 and an equal key 74 are operation keys to be depressed at the finding of copying magnification. A key 75 is a fraction key for inputting paper size, e.g. 8 1/2, displayed as a fractional format as it is, and when the fraction key 75 is depressed, a fractional code is displayed on one digit of the numeral display part 52. The copying magnification is calculated by setting up the copying paper size inputted by ten keys 61-70, a decimal key 71 and the fraction key 75 and displayed on the numeral display part 52 as a divident by the division key 73, setting up the original size inputted similarly as a divisor by the equal key 75 and displaying the operated result on the numeral display part 52 as the copying magnification. |
