PURPOSE:To make a transmitting torque small with the provision of improved ride feeling by configurating a device in such a way that a control means which controls a drive means so as to allow a vehicle to run at a constant speed, is allowed to operate only when the gear ratio of a reduction gear is selected to be lower than the specified one. CONSTITUTION:Signals from such units as a constant speed set switch 15, a gear detecting means 6, and the group of detecting means 41 for automatic constant speed running operation release, are inputted into a microcomputer 31. And judgement is formed as to whether the releasing condition is satisfied or not based on signals from the group of the detecting means 41. That is, judgement is not formed before it is made to be sure based on signals from each of detecting means 35-39 that the releasing condition has been satisfied. If the releasing condition is not satisfied, judgement is formed as to whether a gear ratio of a reduction gear is for a low speed or not based on a signal from the gear detecting means 6. And if it is found to be no, the constant speed set signal is accepted, then, the opening of a throttle valve 23 is adjusted through both an actuator 25 and an accelerator joint 16 while a signal from a speed pulse detecting means 40 is being compared with the set speed signal. |
