PURPOSE:To prevent remaining untransferred toner from falling owing to a separation claw by making the surface of the separation claw conductive. CONSTITUTION:The majority of remaining untransferred toner on a drum 5 is and positive inverted toner and external positive charged additives added to a developer so as to increase the load charge of toner. The separation claw is a molded product of polyacid resin with good moldability, but it contacts the drum 5, so the tip of the separation claw is charged negatively by friction to -300--700V. For the purpose, the tip part of the separation claw including the contacting part of the resin molding separation claw is made conductive. Consequently, the surface of the separation claw is held at the same potential with the silicon drum 5 which is charged positively after transfer separation and the remaining untransferred toner containing positive inverted toner is repelled and scattered at the tip of the separation claw, so toner never fallse in lumps. |
