PURPOSE:To stabilize output voltage by forming a gap to a core for a choke coil and fast sticking a magnetic material having the quality of material different from the core onto the outer circumferential surface of the core. CONSTITUTION:A transistor (hereinafter called Tr) 2 is connected to an input DC power supply 1, and a smoothing circuit of a choke coil 10 and a capacitor 11 is connected to the transistor Tr. When the Tr 2 is turned ON, the capacitor 11 is charged, and electricity is fed to load 7. Output DC voltage E0 is stabilized while the switching operation of the Tr 2 is controlled by a comparison detection circuit 8 and a pulse width modulation circuit 9. In this case, a core 20 for the choke coil 10 is formed by a core 21 consisting of approximately square- shaped ferrite, and a gap 22 is shaped to one part of the core 21 while a plate body 25 composed of another magnetic material (permalloy) is fast stuck to the outer circumferential surface of the core. Accordingly, a control range to the variation of load 7 is extended without scaling up the choke coil 10, and the period of a change at a time when an inductor is saturated can be shortened.
