PURPOSE:To reduce and simplify the quantity of information by giving reset necessary/unnecessary indications of individual lines of one line group to one line initializing signal. CONSTITUTION:If a trouble requiring initialization occurs in a switching unit 4, busy lines out of lines included in line groups 6-9 connecting the switching unit 4 and adjacent switching units 1-3 and 5 must not be reset because it is necessary to relieve calls on said lines. The switching unit connected to each line has information indicating whether the line is busy or nor. For example, a part having information indicating whether individual lines of the line group 7 are busy or not, namely, information indicating whether the reset of individual lines is necessary or not is added to the line initializing signal transmitted from the switching unit 4 to the switching unit 2 through a common line 11. Thus, the number of initializing signals is reduced, and the time required for line reset is shortened, and the processor load or the like is reduced.
