PURPOSE:To inhibit the spring-out of a brush by fitting a pigtail connecting pin near a brush box fixed to a brush holding plate and connecting a pigtail to the pigtail connecting pin. CONSTITUTION:A brush device 9 consists of a brush holding plate 16, brush boxes 7, brushes 6, coil springs 13, pigtail connecting pins 14, pigtails 15 and terminals 8. The pigtail connecting pins 14 are fitted near the brush boxes 7 fastened to the brush holding plate 16. The pigtails 15 are connected to the pigtail connecting pins 14, thus pushing back the brushes 6 against the push force of the coil springs 13, then pulling the brushes 6 into the brush boxes 7 up to positions where they are separated from the surface of a commutator 12.
