PURPOSE:To grasp properly a residue or a picture number at the image pickup mode by providing a display means displaying an image pickup enable picture number, an unpicked-up picture number or a picture number picked up this time at the image pickup mode. CONSTITUTION:Number of pickup film frames is expressed by a fraction where the number of pictures possible for image pickup is taken as a denominator and the residual pickup enable picture film sheet is taken as a numerator to one magnetic disc. When a magnetic disc 9 on which no picture is recorded is loaded, the magnetic head 8 is located on the track of the address 1 automatically and the number display is expressed as 50/50 in the field mode. The magnetic head 8 is shifted toward the center of the magnetic disc 9 one by one track at each pickup, the address is incremented one by one and the numerator of the number display is decremented one by one. Even when the magnetic head is located on the track of the 1st address in the frame mode, the number display is expressed not as 50/50 bus as 25/25.
