PURPOSE:To improve contact tightness between core member and active material by forming projections/recesses on the surface of nickel or nickel galvanized core member then applying active material mainly composed of cadmium oxide. CONSTITUTION:Negative plate active material mainly composed of cadmium is mixed properly with carboxyl methyl cellulose or teflon aqueous solution to produce active material slurry 2 which is applied by fixed quantity onto nickel or nickel galvanized perforated iron plate then water is removed from the active material 2 under the temperature of 100-300 deg.C thus to complete a plate. In order to provide projections/recesses on the surface of core member 1, sand paper or other means are applied onto the core member made of perforated plate (having porosity of 50%). |
