PURPOSE:To make it possible to certainly and rapidly extinguish a real flame, by mounting a polarizing filter to the front surface of a detector for detecting light from a flame and inputting detection information to a flame judge part to discriminate a flame due to a virtual image or a real flame. CONSTITUTION:A flame discrimination part 19 for discriminating a flame due to a virtual image and a real image on the basis of detection informations from detectors 3a, 4a obtained through polarizing filters 3d, 4d is mounted to a control part. That is, when the detection information from either one of a pair of fire source detectors 3, 4 set in a divided form and searching a flame is inputted, the other fire source detector is allowed to direct to a flame direction and, when detection informations from both fire source detectors were obtained, a flame is discriminated. By discriminating the flame on the basis of the detection informations from the detectors obtained through the polarizing filters, the real flame and the flame due to the virtual image are automatically discriminated and the real flame can be certainly and rapidly detected.
