PURPOSE:To obtain a sufficient corrosion-proof property against high- temperature molten carbonate, by forming 10-50mum thick films of ZrSiO2 on the surface of a composition material which contains at least either one of nickel and iron as main component. CONSTITUTION:Respective surfaces of an electrolytic tile 1 holding molten carbonate, being in touch with gas chamber frames 4 and 5 comprising either of nickel, carbon steel, or austenite-stainless steel and being arranged respectively on both sides of an anode electrode 2 and a cathode electrode 3, are coated with metal alcoholate solution having a composition formula of ZrSi(OC5H11)4. And these coated layer surfaces are rapidly heated by the use of heat sources such as electron beams, laser beams, and far infrared rays, held for 1-10sec within a temperature range of 700-1,100 deg.C, to form 10-50mum thick films of ZrSiO2. Heating conditions of being below 700 deg.C and for less than 1sec do not almost make SiO2 advance to be sintered, with minutely coated films not available. Contrarily, with heating conditions of being above 1,100 deg.C and for more than 10sec, films become minutely coated, however, liable to generate intermetallic compound on account of reactions with the composition material. |
