PURPOSE:A drug material for external use having improved solubility and diffusion propertis of indomethacin (anti-inflammatory drug) to be blended with an acrylic copolkymer to be laminated to a substrate showing improved endermic absorption properties, by specifying the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the copolymer. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic copolymer having 90,000-250,000 number average molecular weight and a ratio of weight average molecular weight Mw to number average molecular weight Mn of Mw/Mn of 6-12, preferably a copolymer consisting of 10-60wt% intramolecular ether group-containing (meth) acrylic acid alkyl ester and 40-90wt% (meth) acrylic acid alkyl ester or a polymer alloy consisting of 80-99.5wt% acrylic copolymer and 0.5-20wt% acrlyic oligomer is blended with indomethacin, and the blend is directly laminated to a substrate, or indirectly through an undercoating material to the substrate, to give a drug composition for external use, having improved absorption efficiency of the drug from the exodermis and the mucosa without using a solvent and an endermic absorption promotion auxiliary.
