PURPOSE:To deliver bills one by one in order, by making a slide plate move to both returning and pulling positions at discretion, and letting a bill of the forefront row between a taking-in flange and a pressing plate tough or separate to or from a return roller. CONSTITUTION:A slide plate 8 is properly moved to those of stand-by, taking-in, returning and pulling positions at internal rear, front and central parts of a stacker 6 by a cam mechanism 2. When bills housed in the stacker 6 is returned, the plate 8 goes forward up to the returning position from the stand-by position, whereby a bill of the forefront row between a take-in flange 10 and a pressing plate 13 is pressed to a return roller 21 by dint of pressing force of a spring device 14. And, the bill of the forefront row is delivered upward by rotation of the return roller 21, but at this time, a conveying belt and rollers 3 and 4 hold a tip end of the returning bill in between, once stopping it in this state, and the plate 8 goes back to the extent of the pulling position from the returning position, whereby bills among the roller 21, the flange 10 and plate 13 are separated from one another, thus delivery of the next bill is checked.
